ARTISTIC DIRECTOR: CLAIRE RABSON

 
CLAIRE RABSON, Artistic Director for HCVAS and conductor of the Hill Country Chorale since 2004, received her Music degree from Texas A&I University in Corpus Christi. She attended on scholarship and graduated cum laude. Professionally, she has directed church choirs in Corpus Christi, Denver, and the Texas Hill Country since she was 19. Claire sang soprano with the San Antonio Symphony Master Singers for ten years, sings with Canto Chamber Choir in Fredericksburg, and is the choir director at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Kerrville. She is a member of the Texas Choral Directors Association.
 
Past President of the Board Dr. Robert Holloway has said, “Claire brings many gifts to the organization—she has great choral sense and knows how to achieve a good choral sound. She is especially skillful at diction and phrasing, is considerate and graceful, all the while aiming for the highest caliber performance.”
 
She and husband David reside in Ingram.
